30 Day Yoga Challenge: Day 1, Class 1
I was super excited for my first (of many!) yoga classes for my 30 day yoga challenge at SASY (a local studio hosting the challenge).
I took vinyasa with Erica, and the class was GREAT. I loved the setting. It was my first time taking a class at SASY and I was a little nervous (because I love my other studio!) but the room was big and airy, with windows at the front of the room. It overlooked Comm Ave, and I surprisingly enjoyed overhearing the bird chirping and trains and passing cars. The music was also GREAT, relaxing but still upbeat. I wish they posted their playlists!
The class was only and hour, which is a little shorter than I am used to. But it was the right pace, sweaty AND stretchy. We did tons of hip openers, starting with surya namaskara A, then a crazy chair sequence and ended with flying pigeon. I’m still working on the arm balance part of flying pigeon, but, lets see where I am after 30 days!
